“Black Friday”, “Small Business Saturday” and “Just because Sunday”!

Celebrate with us – Thanksgiving Weekend November 25th, 26th & 27th

This week there will be 3 special days of shopping with which to begin the holiday season and the first of those is the day after Thanksgiving: Friday the 25th!

Aren’t you going to be “in the neighborhood” anyway at the Las Vegas Roundup at the Riviera?

We’ll kick off the weekend with some “door busters” such as hard back “Big Books” (Alcoholics Anonymous) normally $12.25 for just $7.75 (limit 5 per customer), “Daily Reflections” (normally $12.50) on sale for $8.00 (limit 5 per customer) and our beautiful bronze chips (years and themes) which normally sell for $2.35 will be on sale for just $1.50 (limit 25 per customer) while supplies last.

We’ll also have HUGE markdowns on resources (basic texts and daily readers) for CA, NA, GA, OA, DA, SLAA, SA, EA, CODA, ACA, and Al-Anon. We just started carrying ACA chips, have greatly expanded our CODA and ACA book departments, and got in a large shipment of journals and fashion jewelry!

Saturday November 26th is a big day too for everyone at Genesis Books and Gifts. It’s the second annual Small Business Saturday®, when people across the country come out and shop to support their favorite local businesses.

We think it is especially important to celebrate our unique Las Vegas community and we look forward to seeing you in the store!  We don’t want you to overspend, but I’m sure you know how much a small business like Genesis depends upon the patronage of our loyal local customers.

And here’s the best news of all!

On Saturday, American Express is sponsoring a special $25.00 “statement credit” where you can register and spend $25.00 with a small business (like Genesis) and get a $25.00 credit to your American Express statement. That’s like getting $25.00 worth of free merchandise! Does it get any better than that?

And… if you can’t make it in on Saturday, shop in advance and we’ll ring up your transaction on Saturday so you can get the $25.00.

Then on Sunday, November 27th (we open at 11:00am) the first 10 customers get 25% off of their ENTIRE order, AND every 12th customer gets the same deal. This offer cannot be used for book purchases but we will have some great markdowns on conference approved literature so you’d better get there early!

We can’t compete with the Wal-Marts and the other “Big Box Stores”.  But what we lack in size we make up for in specialized, friendly and knowledgeable customer service, a welcoming atmosphere plus free coffee and smiles.  And, if you think about it we have lots of gifts that would be appropriate for your friends in and out of the 12 step recovery programs!

For example: How about some of the beautiful (and reasonably priced) fashion jewelry we carry?

We have many inspirational items as well such as books (The Four Agreements), book marks, serenity themed medallions that make great pocket tokens…

How about an audio book or daily motivational book especially for young people, couples, African American, Men, Gay or Lesbian people?  We have them all.

How about coffee mugs, wind chimes, or perhaps a blanket/tapestry with the Lord’s Prayer or other spiritual message?

And of course we have new age and metaphysical departments too, so maybe you’ll find something there and you won’t have to go to the mall at all for your holiday shopping…
